Once the meeting was over, Nora texted to Mark: “We need to talk. NOW!” Mark frowned. What’s going on he thought. He looked outside and texted her back: “I thought we said to be careful at work”. Nora felt her mobile vibrating and saw Mark’s answer. She sighed. “Trust me, we need to talk! RIGHT NOW!” Mark started to feel worried. “OK” he finally wrote. “Meet me in the meeting room number 9 in 5 minutes. There is a code required to get into the room. I will text you the code once I’ll get it.” Nora took a deep breath. “I’m waiting” she texted back and put her mobile to the side. Pauline came closer. “What was that?” she said smiling. Jennifer looked at her “What was what?” she said. “The interruption during the meeting, and the message that appeared in the screen.” She said. “Creepy don’t you think?” “A bad joke” Nora said pretending to be busy. “I wouldn’t make a deal out of it. It’s probably nothing” “I agree but everyone is talking about that” Pauline said. Nora frowned. “Really?” she asked. “Of course. After Mark breaking up with Anna, this is the second topic that everyone is talking about.” “Do we have any announcement from IT?” Jennifer asked. “No, nothing. But I think that Nora is right, probably is nothing. Just a joke that someone decided to do” Nora’s mobile vibrated. Nora grabbed it and excused herself. “Wait, where are you going?” Pauline asked smiling. “Not now Pauline” Nora said and rush into the room. “What’s wrong with her?” Pauline asked. “Really Pauline? You don’t know?” Jennifer said annoyed. Pauline looked at her clueless. “No I don’t. What’s going on?” she asked again. Jennifer took a deep breath. “Look, I know you mean good but that kind of questions, are too personal. Why should she tell you where she’s going?” “Come on Jennifer you know what i mean” “I do, but Nora doesn’t. Don’t forget that it’s been only a few months since we met her.” Few floors above, Nora found the meeting room number 9. OK she thought 95472 and enter. After giving the pin, the door opened automatically. She saw Mark standing by the window. “Hi” she said and the door closed behind her. Mark turned his face to her. “What’s going on?” he asked. Nora went close to him. “They are here. They know that I am here” she said with one breath. “All of them?” he asked. “I don’t know. Look.” She said and gave him her mobile. Mark was able to see the pics that Nora took with her mobile during the meeting. “We are coming” he read out loud. “Hmm.” “I know its them, at least one of them, I don’t how many, but why now? And why on the meeting that I was participating? Whoever is here, knows!” Mark was still looking in the pictures and stayed quiet. “I still think that it’s someone we know. Someone close.” “Someone from the company?” Mark asked. Nora looked at him. “It’s possible.” Mark put her mobile away. “Nora, I know you think that it’s Anna but…” “We don’t know!” Nora interrupted him. “How well do you know her? I mean just think. So far, nothing like that happened. And now, once you revealed yourself to her, you told her the truth, this happens. Sorry Mark but there has to be a linkage between this.” Mark was thinking. “Is there anyone else who knows?” Nora asked. “Niko knows and JJ”. Mark said with a lower voice. Nora’s eyes started to glow. Mark touched her hand. “No babe, don’t do that, please. Not now!” Nora looked away and kept her eyes closed. “So, there is a big possibility that it’s Niko!” she said whilst keeping her eyes shut. Mark kissed her hand. “You think so?” Nora opened her eyes and looked at him. They were no longer glowing. “Mark, we have two people in the company who know about you. It has to be one of them!” “OK but Niko knows only about me.” “You remember after I came in the company. They saw us together. It was easy to make the link. And it would be too obvious if they had done something like that in one of your meetings.” Mark nodded. “We need to tell the others.” He said. “Feel free to do so. I need to run. Have another meeting coming up.” Mark leaned over for a kiss and Nora kissed him softly in his lips. “Still angry?” he asked. “If they found us, because of you, because you said the truth to Anna, you are in a big trouble Mark White.” She said and left the room. Mark frowned. I am always in trouble he thought. No matter what!
