Gods among us-part XLV

 Anna was laying in her bed with her eyes closed but she couldn’t sleep. She opened them looking at the ceiling. She touched his side of the bed and felt the coldness one more time. She stood up and saw herself in the mirror. A glance of surprise passed through her eyes.

“You look horrible” she said out loud. Suddenly, her phone rung. She took a look unwillingly and saw JJ’s name on it. Not now JJ she thought and ignored her call.

 

“She is not answering” JJ said to Niko thinking.

“I wouldn’t answer either. You call her like every 5 min.” Niko said smiling.

“No I don’t!” JJ said upset. “I call her every 30 minutes because I am afraid that she might hurt herself.”

Niko frowned.

“You think she would do that?” He asked.

“I don’t know. I hope not” JJ answered by raising her shoulders.

“Would you like to visit her?” Niko said.

JJ looked at him and took a sip of her coffee.

“I don’t know. I am worried about her but I am more worried about you.”

Niko looked at her surprised.

“What do you mean you are worried about me?”

“Have you spoken with Mark after the other day?”

Niko looked down.

“No, I haven’t. I think he is avoiding me.”

“Maybe he knows that you know?” JJ asked.

“I don’t think so. How could he possible know?”

“Well, you said that you passed a message at Nora’s meeting. A way to see if there are more in the company right?”

Niko nodded.

“If Nora is one of them, then she should have told Mark.”

Niko was thinking.

“Yes, but he didn’t say anything weird or something to make me understand that he knows.”

“But we are sure that he remembered. Right?”

“Yes. I can see it in his eyes. But I still haven’t been able to understand how and who made him remember.”

“Is Cronos awake?” JJ asked.

Niko looked at her all serious.

“Not yet. But Oceanus and Phoebe are.”

“OK, remind me who are they again?”

“They are Cronos’s siblings. Oceanus is the lord of the ocean and Phoebe is the goddess of the Moon.”

“And only those two are awake? I thought more of them were.”

“Yes. There are a few that are informing the Gods here on earth about every move that the Titans are doing back in their planet, so they lied that more Titans were awake in order to force the Gods here to make a move to see how many gained their memory back.”

“I see. And all of them have remembered?”

“We believe yes.”

“And how do you know that Mark is Zeus?”

Niko took a deep breath.

“OK, I think the time has come for you to find out more things about me.”

JJ looked at him surprised.

“What do you mean more things about you? I already know you” she said and tried to touch his face.

Niko held her hand before touching him.

“No.” he said serious. “You don’t. Please sit.”
