Gods among us-part XLVI

"What you mean?" she asked Niko surprised. "I know that you are lets say not from this planet, you told me that. I also know that one of the Titans chose you to use your body for the battle to come. I know all this."

"Yes you do, but there are more."

JJ was starring at him.

"Please, have a sit. As you know I'm from Serio, a galaxy or a star or a planet far away. We are actually immortal, our souls are immortal. The body, the vessel changes. Every time, that the Olympian Gods are being re-born, I'm also coming to earth to keep an eye on them."

"I know all these" JJ said and tried to stand up. Niko stopped her.

"No, please hear me out. Sit. As I was saying, I'm coming as well to keep an eye on them. I probably will have to change sides, since the Gods always win, but the Titans are blackmailing me."

JJ raised an eyebrow. Niko saw her and took a deep breath.

"I'm married JJ back in Serio, and I have a beautiful little boy."

JJ couldn't move. Niko saw no reaction and he continued.

"My wife and son are also in prison, but in a different kind of prison. Cronos decided to freeze them so that he can use me as a spy here on Earth. One word and they will broke and I will lose both of them. The last time I saw them alive was back in the time, when Cronos was the King. Once Zeus defeated him, my wife and son were prisoned. Cronos did this so that he can gain me as an ally. You see, my mother was the one who told him that his child will take him down from the throne."

JJ was confused. She held her head with her hands.

"And this was Cronos's revenge. He took my wife and son, and promised me that he will free them once he will be King again. From that day, I became his prisoner as well." Niko continued. He took a breath and looked at JJ. She wasn't able to say a word. Niko sat next to her and took her hands into his. She took them away and stood up.

"I know that you hate me now but please let me explain." Niko said. She looked at him calmly.

"Explain? I think this is what you were doing so far, explaining the situation to me. Is there more to explain?"

Niko took a deep breath and stood up. He went next to her.

"That's pretty much it." he said looking on the floor.

"We've been talking for hours and still we haven't found any solution. We didn't even come up with a plan." James said.

Lilly was purring more coffee in her mug.

"James is right" she said whilst sitting again on the chair.

Mark looked at all but stayed quiet.

"It's the first time that we don't know what to do" Phil commented.

"Nora" Amy said. "What are you thinking?"

Nora was looking outside. She turned to the rest.

"Nothing really." she answered but there was something in her voice that made Mark suspicious.

She looked at him.

"Great" Alex said. "None of us has something"

"I think we are all tired babe" Mary said. "I suggest to get some rest and meet again tomorrow to discuss a bit further."

"I agree." Kate said. 

"OK, same time here tomorrow." Tony said and everyone agreed.

Once everyone left, Mark took a look out of the window whilst Nora was taking the glasses and plates in the sink.

"What did you see outside?" Mark asked.

"What do you mean?"

"Don't play the fool to me" Mark continued on the same tone. "You saw something outside."

Nora walked towards him and stood on his left.

"Do you see the smoke?"

"Coming out of the factory?" Mark asked clueless.

"Yes" Nora said.

"Yes I see that."

"It was red before" she commented.

Mark frowned.

"Red" he repeated.

Nora nodded.

"Oracle" Mark said.

Nora nodded again and both stayed quiet.

"And why you broke up with Mark again?" 

"How many times do I have to say it mom? He broke up with me."

"OK OK and why again?"

Anna took a deep breath.

"I guess he met someone else"

"Now days people break up for stupid reasons."

"Is it a stupid reason if someone falls in love with someone else?" Anna asked her.

Her mother touched her hand.

"No, but when you are happy in your relationship, you are not looking for someone else."

Anna took her hands away.

"Sometime things happen. And it is possible to fall in love with someone else even if you're happy in your relationship" Anna said and left her mother alone.
