Zeus: is the sky and thunder god in ancient Greek religion an mythology, who rules as king of the gods of Mount Olympus. His parents were the Titans Cronus and Rhea and he was the youngest of his siblings to be born. His wife is Hera and they have 3 children together: Ares, Hebe and Hephaestus. Zeus was also famous for his erotic escapades. These resulted in many divine and heroic offspring, including Athena, Apollo, Artemis, Hermes, Persephone, Dionysus, Perseus, Heracles, Helen of Troy, Minos and the Muses. He was respected as an allfather who was chief of gods. Zeus symbols are the thunderbolt, eagle, bull and oak.
Hera:is the goddess of women, marriage, family and childbirth in ancient Greek religion and mythology. She is one of the twelve Olympians and the sister and wife of Zeus. Her parents were the Titans Cronus and Rhea. Hera rules over Mount Olympus as queen of Gods. A matronly figure, she served as both the patroness and protectress of married women, presiding over weddings and blessing marital unions. One of Hera's defining characteristics is her jealous and vengeful nature against Zeus' numerous lovers and illegitimate offspring, as well as the mortals who cross her. Hera considers the cow, lion and peacock as sacred animals.
Poseidon:is the god of the sea, storms, earthquakes and horses. He is one of the 12 Olympians in ancient Greek religion and mythology. His parents were the Titans Cronus and Rhea and was the second son. Poseidon was protector of seafather and of many Hellenic cities and colonies. Poseidon was said to have had many lovers of both sexes. His consort was Amphitrite, a nymph and ancient sea-goddess, daughter of Nereus and Doris and together they had 2 children: A son, Triton, a merman, and a daughter Benthesicyme.
Demeter: is the goddess of the harvest and agriculture, one of the 12 Olympians in ancient Greek religion and mythology. Her parents were the Titans Cronus and Rhea. She also presided over the sacred law and the cycle of life and death. She and her daughter Persephone were the central figures of Eleusinian Mysteries, a religious tradition that predated the Olympian pantheon. She was known as the Corn-Mother, the goddess of cereals who provides grain for bread and blesses its harvests. Her greatest gifts to humankind were agriculture, particularly of cereals, and the Mysteries which give initiative higher hopes in this life and the afterlife. Demeter's emblem is the poppy, a bright red flower that grows among the barley. She also worshipped more generally as a goddess of the earth.
Hades: is the god of the dead and the king of the underworld. His parents were the Titans Cronus and Rhea and was the oldest son. He had three older sisters, Hestia, Demeter and Hera as well as a younger brother Poseidon. He and his brother Zeus and Poseidon, defeated their father's generation of Gods, the Titans, and claimed rulership over the cosmos. Hades received the underworld, Zeus the sky and Poseidon the sea. He is followed by Cerberus, the three-headed guard dog of the underworld.
Hestia: is the virgin goddess of the hearth, the right ordering of domesticity, family, home and the state and one of the 12 Olympians. Her parents were the Titans Cronus and Rhea and she was the first born. She rejected the marriage suits of Poseidon and Apollo and swore herself to perpetual virginity. Zeus assigned Hestia a duty to feed and maintain the fires of the Olympian hearth with the fatty, combustible portions of animal sacrifices to the gods.
