Gods among us-part LIV

The sun came up and Mary was the first to open her eyes. She rubbed them with her fingers. Where am I? she thought and looked around. She saw the waves splashing at the shore and stood up. She walked towards the sea. The need of feeling the waves on her body became bigger and bigger. She reached the coast and the waves touched her toes. She looked up in the sky. It's time she thought.

Two hours later, Alex opened his eyes. He turned to the side and saw that Maryˋs sleeping bag was empty. He sat and started to look around.

Amy opened her eyes as well.

"What time is it?" Alex asked.

"Its 9 o clock." Mark said whilst he was putting on his short.

"Where is Mary?" Alex asked again and everyone looked at him.

"I don't know." Lilly said and took a few steps forward looking at the sea side.

"What's going on?" Nora asked.

"We lost Mary." Alex said worried.

"What you mean you lost Mary?" Kevin asked him.

"She is not here with us."

"Maybe she went to the sea." Kate answered.

"Alone?" Alex said and turned to the sea as well.

"I´m sure she will be fine." Mark said.

"There, look!!!!" James yelled suddenly and everyone turned towards him.

"Where?" Phil asked.

"There" James said and he pointed out to the sea.

Mark came closer to Phil.

"What am I looking bro?" he asked.

"You got me." Phil said by raising his shoulders. "I have no idea."

"Oh you guys" Bea said and laughed. "You will never change!"

Mark and Phil look at each other.

"Sheˋs making fun of us" Mark said.

"I don't care" Phil said. "The most important thing is that she is with me, here, now!"

Mark touched his shoulder and smiled at him.

Nora started walking faster towards the coast. Bea followed her.

"What on earth is going on?" Mark asked clueless.

"There is a person in the sea dad" James told him. "They are going to see if any help is needed."

Mark put his hand on his eyes to help him see better.

"Oh my god!! Thats Mary!!!!"Alex yelled and run to the sea.

Everybody started walking fast as well.

Mary was walking towards Nora and Bea being naked.

Nora smiled.

"Welcome back!!!!" she said whilst she was getting closer and closer.

"Hera, Amphitrite." Mary said with a weak smile.

"Hi Aphrodite. Welcome back." Bea said and gave her her a blanket to cover her body.

She could barely walk and Nora grabbed her from her waist putting the blanket around her body. Bea helped her. Within seconds, Alex reached them and took Mary on his arms.

"Are you OK?" he asked her. Mary had her hands on his neck and nodded.

"Iˋll be fine" she said. "I just need to get some rest." Alex took her back to their sleeping bags and put her slowly down. Everybody was around them.

"Are you crazy?" Bea asked her. Mary smiled.

"No" she said with her eyes closed. "I just knew it was time."

"Agreed" said Kate. "But you could have just wake one of us to come with you."

"You couldn't do anything and you know it." Mary whispered.

"Come on guys, let her rest."Nora said. "Weˋll be back in about an hour. You should be fine by then. We need to test your power."

Mary nodded.

"So, did you had some nice time yesterday?" Niko asked JJ at breakfast.

"Yes, was quite OK." JJ answered. "We needed that." Niko smiled and took another sip of his coffee.

JJ looked at him.

"Niko." she said. "Do you know where Mark is?"

Niko raised his eyes until he meet hers.

"Why are you asking?" he asked her.

"No reason. Do you know?"

Niko shaked his head.

"No." he said. "I haven't spoken with him for a while."

"Call him." JJ said.

"Why are you so interesting in where Mark is out of a sudden?" Niko asked her suspicious.

"No reason." she said.

"You said that before, and I heard you but I have the feeling that you have a reason and a valid one?"

"Will you call him or should I?" JJ asked him impatiently.

"OK I will, after we finish breakfast."

"No Niko, call him now." she said and gave him his phone. Niko took it.

"I don't understand what got into you but OK."
