Gods among us-Part LVI

After a while, and whilst Mary also tried her newly gained power, they sat all together and they were talking. A car parked a few meters away and JJ together with Niko got out of the car. Niko looked around and spotted the group.

"They are indeed complete." he commented. JJ noded.

"Yes." she said. "Donˋt forget to shut down the channel so that they wonˋt be able to hear us."

"I have done it already. It wonˋt be easy in the future but for now, I can do it without any issues." Niko said and JJ smiled.

"Thatˋs good. Letˋs not keep the waiting."

They started walking towards them when they realized that are more people than expected.

"Are they 13 or am I not calculating correctly?" Niko said frowned.

"I dont know." JJ said.

Suddenly, Mark looked at their direction and saw them. He waved and they waved back.

"JJ is with him." He said to Nora.

"Yes, i see her."

"Who are they?" Bea asked the group.

"My best friend and his fiancée"Mark said.

"Do they know about you?"

"No."

"Yes."

Mark and Nora said together.

Bea looked at both confused.

"Yes or no" she asked smiling.

"I think they do, he doesnˋt believe that." Nora said.

"I see". Bea said.

Niko and JJ reached the group.

"Hi guys." Mark said and hugged JJ.

"Hi." said JJ and hugged him back.

"Hi Mark" Niko said. "Or should I say Zeus?"

The rest of the group were looking at Niko surprised. Only Nora stayed calm. Bea looked at her first and then at Niko. Thereˋs something about him she thought.

"What?" Mark said to Niko.

"I know Zeus." Niko said and bowed whilst Mark stayed quiet.

"Mark, we need to talk." JJ said.

Mark looked at her.

"Yes, I also know. I guess you are complete now." JJ said looking at the group.

"Yes we are." Alex said and stood up.

"I am Alex. Nice meeting you."

"Iˋm JJ and this is Niko. You are who exactly?"JJ asked.

Alex smiled.

"Iˋm Ares, God of War."

"WOW" JJ said. 

Alex smiled

"Like I said, I am Alex, this is Mary, James, Phil, Bea, Lilly, Tony, Kate, Kevin, Sarah and Amy."

"And who is who?" JJ asked.

"What do you want JJ?" Nora said and stood up.

JJ looked at her.

"We want to talk to Mark."

"Talk about what?" Mark said full of curiosity.

"Can we speak in privat?" Niko asked.

"I think itˋs safe to speak here, in frond of all of us." Nora said and Mark nodded.

"Yes, we can all have a discussion here." Mark agreed. "Letˋs sit."

Everybody sat down including JJ and Niko. Suddenly there was quiet.

"So" JJ started "as you understood we know who you are. We donˋt know which one is whom, beside you Mark, but we know that you are Gods. But now I am a bit confused. We expected to see 12 not 13." 

Bea was looking at JJ suspicious.

"Who are you?" she said with a threaten voice. Phil sqeezed her hand.

"Like I said my name is JJ Iˋm Markˋs friend."

Mark took a deep breath.

"Iˋm sorry JJ but it doesn´t make any sense. What are you guys doing here and how come you know who we are?"

JJ looked at Niko. He was looking down.

"I think I can explain that." he said without raising his eyes. "I was sent to earth to keep an eye on you Mark. I am from the same planet as you guys, I dont think that you remember me, we never actually met back in the day, and its the first time that I am coming to earth. The Titans managed to take my family prisoners and use me so that they wonˋt kill them."

Everyone was looking at Niko surprised.

"Wait a minute" Mark said "So you knew all along? Even before I remember?"

Niko nodded.

"But how?" Nora said.

"Once Mark became an adult, I was sent here to make sure that he wonˋt remember."

"Thatˋs why you kept insisting on moving all the time?" Mark asked surprised. Niko nodded.

"I thought that if we keep moving, they will loose our track. But then, I met JJ. And I lost track for a while..."

"But you are married right?" Mary asked Niko.

"Back in our planet, yes. I have a son as well. But you know how it is. I donˋt even know if they are alive...."

"Why are you telling us this?" Nora asked him.

Niko looked JJ and she nodded.

"Because one of the Titans came in me so that they can spy on you." he said and looked at Mark.

Everyone stood up and took a fight position. Everyones eyes glowed and were ready to fight.

"WOW easy. We are not enemies" JJ said calmly.

"Then what you are?" Bea said staring her down.

"Calm down please. I have shut down the channel, they canˋt hear you now and I came here to help you and I hope you can help me gain back my family."

Everyoneˋs eyes went back to normal and they sat down again.

"OK, we can help you if you help us." Mark said.

"What? No! Mark what are you talking about?" Nora yelled.

Mark looked at her calmly.

"We will help him Nora! He will help us and we will help him!"

"I donˋt trust him." Nora said.

"You must trust me Hera." Niko said. 

Nora stayed quite.

"You are exactly as I imagined you would be. You know, my wife adors you back home."

Nora looked at him but said nothing.

"Itˋs decided then. You will help us and we will help you, right guys?" Mark asked the rest.

Everyone nodded.

"OK good. So tell us everything you know."Bea said.

"I will, but I am interested to know why you are 13 instead of 12." Niko said.

Bea looked Mark.

"We have one unexpected help." Mark said. "This is Bea, or Amphitrite, Poseidonˋs wife."

"I see." Niko said. "OK, so here is what happened..."
