Gods among us-part XLVII

 At Nora's place, both Mark and Nora looked worried.

"It was an oracle right?" Mark asked without taking his eyes away from the smoke.

"It was." Nora confirmed.

"OK, we need to act quickly. Let gather the rest and see where we stand."

Nora nodded and took her mobile to text the rest.

"Can someone explain to me what are we doing in an empty baseball stadium?" Kevin asked Phil and Amy a bit upset.

"And at 4 am. This is insane." Tony completed.

"I know as much as you do. I haven't spoken with Mark nor Nora so I am not sure what they are up to." Phil answered.

"There someone is coming" Amy said and showed in the main entrance of the stadium.

They all turned their heads to see who was coming. A half awaken Alex showed up.

"Good morning, good night I don't know what to say. What's going on?" he asked yearning.

"No one knows" Tony answered.

"Where are the rest?" 

"They will join us shortly. Where is Mary?" Phil asked Alex.

"She's parking." Alex answered.

"I'm here" they heard Mary's voice saying.

After 10 minutes the whole group was there but Nora and Mark.

"Should we be worried?" Lilly asked.

"Do you think it's a trap?" Kate asked.

"It could be" Lilly answered.

They all looked at each alarmed.

"No need to worry, and no it is not a trap." they heard Mark's voice saying.

They all breathed with a relief.

"What's up bro?" Phil asked him.

"Let's wait for another 2 min for Nora to join us as well. She should be here..."

"I don't need the two minutes, I'm here." Nora interrupted Mark.

"OK" he said. "Should we start?"

Nora nodded.

"First of all, are we complete?" he asked and started counting. "OK, 12. That's good. The reason why we called you here now, was because we have thought of something and we want to start right away. Also we have some news. We saw red smoke coming out of a factory." 

They all looked at Mark with eyes wide open.

"A red smoke?" Sarah repeated.

"Yes." Nora said.

"Does that mean what I think it does?" Mary asked.

"Unfortunately." Kate said thinking.

Nora looked at her.

"It's not a good sign." She said. 

Nora nodded.

"No it's not. I'm afraid that they are trying to locate us."

"I agree that's why I thought it would be safe to meet here, far away from our houses so that we can check a few things."

They all looked at him confused. 

"Have you got your powers back?" 

"Not completely" Kevin said. 

"It's time to gain them back. Completely." Nora said. 

"OK" Phil said. "I assume you all agree right?"

Everyone nodded.

"OK, let's start. It's going to be a long day." Nora said.

EN: Saturday. Anna was taking a shower when her phone rung. Mark answered sleepy. “Hello? Oh good morning Mrs Simons, yes she is taking a shower.” At the same time Anna came out. “Oh there she is” he said and handed the phone to Anna. “Your mother” he said and went back to bed. Anna took the phone. “Hi mom. Yes, I will leave in an hour, just got out of the shower. Yes, no he will not come. Yes mom I will stay there for the night and I will leave tomorrow. OK, yes I will drive carefully. See you later” she said and hung up the phone. “Mark?” Anna turned to him. “Mhm?” He said with closed eyes. She sat in bed next to him. “Are you sure you don't want to come?” “Yes” he said. “Enjoy the day with your parents.” he replied keeping his eyes closed. Anna gave him a soft kiss on his lips. “Thank you love.” She said and started getting dressed. Mark checked his phone. Hmm he thought, she hadn't text me yet.   Nora woke up early. EN: Anna was staring at Mark and Nora dancing. JJ saw her and tried to calm her down.  “Come on, I don’t think is something you should be worried about. Look, Niko is also dancing with Debbie. Is really nothing.” “I don’t know JJ. I mean look at them. There is clearly something more between them. And since I don’t know who she is, I am worried. And yes, I am jealous. The last 2 weeks were really busy for all. They kept practicing, fighting, attacking to each other, even hurt each other but they didn't give up. Their will for victory and pushing the Titans back in prison was stronger than ever. "Is this all you can?" Sarah yelled at Tony. "Look your face in the mirror before you say that" he yelled back at her. "Your face is full of dust. And wait a minute, I think, I just think that I saw a bruise in your right eye!"
